What is Kodo and how does it work?

Kodo lets you pay for phone credit, internet bundles, Woyofal electricity, Senelec and Sen'Eau bills in Senegal, for yourself or for a loved one.

Kodo in one sentence

Kodo is an app to pay for everyday services in Senegal: phone credit, internet bundles, prepaid Woyofal electricity, Senelec and Sen'Eau bills. You can pay for yourself or for a loved one, wherever you are.

How it works

  1. Create your account with your WhatsApp number. There is no password: you protect your account with a 4-digit PIN that you choose.

  2. Choose a service on the Home screen: Woyofal, Senelec, Sen'Eau, Airtime, Internet or Bundles.

  3. Pay with Wave, Orange Money or Max it if you live in Senegal, or with your bank card if you live abroad.

  4. Find your receipt in the Activity tab. The service is usually delivered within seconds.

What else Kodo gives you

  • Kodo points: each delivered payment earns you points (1 point for every 100 FCFA), which you can exchange for gifts in the Gifts tab.
  • Your loved ones: you can pay or gift a service to a loved one, or ask them to pay for you, from the Sharing tab.
  • A clear history: all your payments and receipts are in the Activity tab.
